HB152: we don’t need to be educated about decisions about OUR bodies but a woman seeking abortion care has to sit through a lecture full of false information about her mental health.

And they don’t see the hypocrisy in this at all. F—k Trevor Lee.

When talking about raw milk - "Together, these two bills move Utah decisively toward a choice-first, consequence-later approach to raw milk where access is expanded, oversight is constrained, and public health intervention largely happens only after something goes wrong." The writer is obviously against this.

But, the writers would support "bills that move Utah decisively toward a choice-first, consequence-later approach to gender affirming care where access is expanded, oversight is constrained, and public health intervention largely happens only after something goes wrong."

I see some inconsistencies, both in our legislature and the authors of this post. Are we interested more in freedom or forced health choices?

I think it's important to note that these anti trans bills come at a time the limkin institute for genocide prevention and human security has said that transgender people in the United States are considered in the early to mid stages of genocide. They are trying to wipe people like me out, I just want to exist

Thank you. I'll be at the Cap at 2 PM today. I'm not an activist by nature, but sometimes you just gotta take a stand. And, I'll be there. Please keep the information flowing.

My son and grandson spent MLK weekend skiing at Alta. They had a marvelous time. If we had realized how terribly repressive Utah is becoming, we would not have been there. If half of these bills pass, they will be in Colorado next year. The entire family has not gone to Florida for three years, after going for 20 years. We will put Utah on our NO-GO list.

I'm on my phone, but figured I'd let you know the Harvey Milk petition link is broken and the Bill Tracker link wants me to sign into something. I'll check on my laptop later and report back, but that's what's going on for me on my Android mobile in the Substack app.

Thanks for everything you guys do! Utsav a lot to keep up with both local and federal shenanigans, but you make local a but easier to digest and move forward in standing up.
