Thank you for sharing your story. I helped collect signatures for Prop 4 and I was so angry when the legislature gutted it. 2026 is the year Utah voters need to break the supermajority and get representatives who actually represent us!

Thank you for sharing such a amazing read, I remember all the hard work that was put into getting this done! I signed every petition available. The corruption in our state government is overwhelming and until the Church publicly acknowledges that Trump is causing so much chaos and trauma the fight against tyranny is a uphill battle. We will not give up, thank you and everyone that worked so hard for our freedom to Vote!

Thanks for all the hard work and perseverance. I’m a fairly new Utahn (since 2021) and we chose where to live partly based on voting demographics, so it was disappointing to say the least when the maps were redrawn. I’m so grateful to you and all those who worked so hard in an unfair fight. My donation went out on Tuesday.

Fantastic work! by you and so many others. I’m so proud of the groups who sank their teeth into this issue and did not let go. I really believe our whole state will benefit from representation that is a real reflection of our dynamic communities.

I am so proud of you for persevering through the good, bad & ugly days that Better Boundaries went through to get to this point. Your contribution has been immeasurable and inspiring.

Thanks for giving your historical perspective. . . brought tears of pride and joy to my eyes!

The battle goes on but thousands of Utah residents and folks nationwide now feel a sense of hope & inspiration going forward. Thank-you, thank-you thank-you!!!!!

Beth, you and Craig were the best from day 1. I’ll never forget how much time, energy, and belief you both poured into making Better Boundaries real. This win belongs to you just as much as it does to anyone else. Thank you for everything you do! <3

Thanks, Jackie, but any contributions we made pale compared to the

work you put in.

Hope you're taking a couple of days to congratulate and celebrate before the next round of silly appeals and shenanigans begin!

Just echoing the other comments that this brought tears to my eyes, and I just have so much respect for your sticking to your guns, keeping on with the fight. Thank you for your work. For those of us who can't make that kind of time, you fight for us and our families.

Just a note, some of us know what it's like not to have a voice, and this fight against the Utah Legislature overreach is so important. I'm "represented" by Celeste Maloy. I read her newsletter about what she's doing as representative and just about NONE of it is anything that is important to me, and I know it's not important to my neighbors and local friends. In fact, most of her positions are exactly the opposite of what I would want to see represented. It is not right, not just, not fair. I want a rep who at least understands what the truth is and what the right thing to do is.

Edit: donated. Thank you.

Thank you so much for saying this. You’re absolutely right. Way too many Utahns are “represented” by people who don’t actually represent them. And I know it’s exhausting to feel unheard, but this decision is proof that change is possible and it’s exactly how we start building toward leaders who actually reflect their communities. Thank you!

Thank you for working to save our freedoms and democracy.

I appreciate the excitement about redistricting. But isn't Utah just going to do what it always does and just gerrymander it so that Democrats don't have a voice? Is there any protection against that that we can hope for?

This is exactly what Better Boundaries/Prop 4/the court is trying to avoid. They outline a lot of requirements that the legislature will have to use in order to create compliant maps. That includes not using voter registration or partisan data in crafting them, keeping cities, counties, and communities of interest together, and drawing districts that are compact and contiguous.

The Legislature will still technically draw the maps, but now there’s an independent commission with real teeth and court oversight to make sure they follow the rules. If they try to ignore those standards again, they risk landing right back in court. In other words: yes, they’ll try to wiggle, but for the first time we actually have enforceable guardrails and the public is watching.

Oh that's great to hear. Thanks for the explanation.

Thank you for the incredible work, the blood sweat and tears, and the hours you poured into this. Despite people saying it was impossible. We need wins like this now more than ever, while we all feel somewhat powerless or that nothing we do makes a difference. Thank you thank you thank you!
