But those two examples of “threats” afterwards ARE NOT AT ALL THE SAME. The right was threatening, the left was frustrated with the lack of grief for others deaths. These are not comparable…. Apples to oranges or even harder to compare.

You always tackle tough and complex issues with compassion and honesty and give readers a sense of what they can do to change things they disagree with. Your perspective challenges me to do better and gives me hope. Thank-you!

Thank you for a really great perspective. As you put it "policing grief" is what is happening here throughout this saga. I want to keep doing the work to make my state and country better, and thank you for encouraging it!

Hey I’m an Utah Valley University student and we are trying to prevent a statue of Charlie Kirk from being built on campus. We wrote a petition with 1,900 signatures and growing. But we need your help. The Utah legislature is steamrolling us and we are trying to advocate for ourselves. I love your content and would love to hear your perspective on the situation and what we can do

This is normal though and you are not listening to those of us who've been saying this is exactly the violence our communities have been experiencing for forever. The difference is a WHITE man was killed. This isn't what you are used to because of your privilege. And ignoring us who have continually experienced this violence and still are experiencing this violence is tone deaf and performative.
